XI, February 2013 Versione italiana Download PDF Lives from Philosophers: Philosophy and Autobiography edited by Simone Guidi and Libera Pisano Accepted languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, German Deadline for submission: December 10th, 2012     The eleventh number of Lo Sguardo will focus on the relationship between autobiography, self-narrative and hermeneutics of the subject. The number will have two major conceptual pillars. On the one hand, a section focused on theoretical contributions. In this section, we aim at emphasizing the dynamic and dialectical relationship that links the subject (narrating himself) to the same tools of the narrative: material and language. More precisely, this section highlights the link between the narrative and the hermeneutic constitution and articulation of the inner self. On the other hand, another section of historical interventions aiming at investigating the philosophical and linguistic categories through which many philosophers represented themselves in the history of thought. Call for papers/1 Submitted articles should deal with the question of writing and with the hermeneutics of the self in the contemporary French thought. Particular attention is paid to the analyses of these themes by Michel Foucault and Paul Ricoeur. We ask that authors please adhere to the topics of this call for papers, all submissions not directly related to the topics of the number will not be taken into account. The articles proving higher quality and greater relevance for the topic will be selected following the editorial rules previously described. The number of selected articles may vary between a minimum of zero (o) up to five (5). Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure you carefully read and adhere to these policies. Call for papers/2 The articles should address the developments and /or the significance of the tools and techniques of autobiographical narratives, from a historical or theoretical perspective. They should focus on one or more of the following topics: -The linguistic and stylistic tools of the autobiographical narration; - The journal as a tool for narrative and hermeneutic of the self: its role in the articulation of the inner person and / or in the historical evolution(even from the perspective of the material history); -The blogs and the social-networks understood as new tools for narrating the self: social impact, philosophical meaning, and implications of hermeneutics of the self. -The cinemas an instrument of self-narration and as an autobiographical technique. The author should address one or more of the following topics up to your choice: - The literary concealment and of its rhetorical and linguistic groups; - The inner self-denial and / or the mystical and spiritual literature and its rhetorical and linguistic categories; - The demonic and / or mysticalpossession; - The splitting of the self. Debate sobre la violencia y el activismo politico

La década de los 70 se caracterizo en Argentina y en el resto de America Latina por agudos conflictos sociales y politicos, y por un enfrentamiento violento entre movimientos que aspiraban a revolucionar la sociedad  e instaurar un orden a sus ojos mas justo e igualitario, y fuerzas que pretendían mantener el orden social existente aun recurriendo a una violencia extrema.

En Argentina, el retorno de la democracia en 1983 permitió un debate sobre la violencia ejercida por los gobiernos militares, pero fue solo en el año 2004 que comenzó una discusión interna en el seno de la izquierda y sus simpatizantes sobre las responsabilidades de estos sectores en el clima de violencia que caracterizó ese periodo.

Aunque la discusión probablemente comenzó antes, fue la publicación en el año 2004 en la revista La Intemperie de un reportaje hecho un militante de izquierda que participó de uno de los primeros intentos de establecer una guerrilla armada en Argentina. En su reportaje este militante se extendió sobre un episodio poco conocido de aquel primer intento guerrillero. Se trataba del fusilamiento de dos de los integrantes a manos de sus propios camaradas, acto que este militante recordaba con vergüenza y con pesar. Este acto, que precedió de muchos años los sucesos de los años 70, fue tomado como paradigmático por el filosofo Oscar del Barco en un articulo en forma de carta enviado  a la revista. del Barco había tenido una conocida actuación política en aquellos años, y en su carta enjuiciaba a la intelectualidad de izquierda por no reconocer sus propias responsabilidades  por la tragedia de los 70. Esta carta fue origen de un número de artículos e intervenciones, en contra y a favor de la posición adoptada por del Barco.

Las intervenciones en el debate fueron publicados posteriormente en dos libros: Sobre la Responsabiidad, No Matar, Cordoba, Argentina, 2007 y No Matar:sobre la responsabilidad, segundo volumen, Cordoba, Argentina, 2010.

Casi todas las intervenciones en este debate fueron también publicadas en la Web en diversas publicaciones, algunas ya desaparecidas. El sitio Le Empresa de Vivir reunió estos escritos en su sitio, donde  son accesibles libremente.

Leçons sur la volonté de savoir: Cour au Collège de France 1970-1971

El año pasado fueron publicadas estas conferencias que Foucault dictó en su  primer año de actividad en el Collège.

Un especialista nortemericano publico recientemente en la revista Foucault Studies un comentario que describe y discute esta publicación, muy esperada por los interesados en la obra de Foucault.
